Grizzlies vs Magic

Game time approaches! Tonight our Memphis Grizzlies take on the Orlando Magic. Tip off is at 6:00. Are you ready to rumble?

The Grizzlies are on game two post trade of veteran Tayshaun Prince to the Celtics, and Quincy Pondexter to the Pelicans. Tonight will be Jeff Green’s second time to suit up in blue. Green stepped into our rotation naturally. To quote Derek Fisher, “It’s the same game the other guys are playing. You can do this. You have to believe in yourselves!” It will take Green a couple minutes to get into the Grit-n-Grind rhythm, but his first time out the gate was well done. Green grabbed 26 minutes, 10 boards (two at the line) 4 boards, and 2 assists. He also lit a fire under his buddy Courtney Lee.

Let’s talk about the return of Zach Randolph. Beast mode activated! While Randolph missed 9 games nursing a sore knee, he has returned with a vengeance. He’s messed around and posted double-doubles almost every single day. May I say a little something? Our big man is playing the season of his life. Look for him to continue to bang it out under the rim.

However, don’t let the Magic’s record fool you into thinking this game won’t be tough. The Grizzlies must return to defense. The perimeter, which has been a trouble spot all season, must be defended with vigor. If not, Oladipo and Payton will take it to the mattresses. The Magic have scored 120 against both the Bulls, and the Rockets. In part due to a half-court trap by Payton and Oladipo that forces turn overs.

It looks to be a tight match up. Let’s get ready to grind it out.
