Preview: Grizzlies vs Pistons

Tonight your Memphis Grizzlies will attempt to put Tuesday’s disappointing loss to the Rockets in the rearview as they face off against the Detroit Pistons.

This will be the second meeting of these two teams this season, the first one resulted in a Memphis win on a Matt Barnes 3-pt lobbed from half-court with seconds left on the game clock.
We can expect this Pistons team has not forgotten that moment, and are sure to be eager to issue some payback. They will no doubt be looking to capitalize off the Grizzlies struggles on both ends of the court lately.

The last 24 hours have been filled with all sorts of twittering and chattering about the significance of Jeff Green being benched in the second half of Tuesday’s game. There are rumors abound that one of the team’s core members was fed up with Green, and had strong words to say about his performance and effort in the locker room postgame.
Whatever the story behind it, this particular narrative has gained at least enough traction to get picked up nationally.
Since then it has also been hinted at that Jeff Green may be moved out of the starting line-up tonight and possibly going forward.

Mike Conley will sit again tonight, Matt Barnes has been upgraded to Probable.
