Grizzlies vs Jazz Preview

The Grizzlies are back home at FedEx Forum tonight to face off against the Utah Jazz. They are coming off a loss last night in Cleveland against the Cavaliers, and will again be missing Zach Randolph and Tony Allen. In short, the Grizzlies have their work cut out for them.

This will be the second game of a back to back schedule for the Grizzlies, and the third game in four nights for the Jazz. Both teams are likely to have tired legs and neither will be playing at their best, and the outcome of the game will be influenced by which team can take the most advantage of the others fatigue.

In the past two seasons, the Memphis Grizzlies and the Utah Jazz have played each other seven times, with the Grizzlies winning six out of the seven.
Of those six, Zach Randolph was the Grizzlies high scorer for five. With Zach being out for the foreseeable future with a swollen knee, the Grizzlies will need the rest of the team to work together to compensate for his absence.

Jon Leuer did a fairly good job starting in Randolph’s place yesterday against the Cavaliers, hopefully we will see another similar performance tonight. And if Marc Gasol could have another one of his monster games, it would go a long way in helping propel the team to a win tonight.

Tip-off is at 7 PM at FedEx Forum.
