The Memphis Grizzlies organization will give back to the community on Friday, October 07, 2016. According the the media advisory:
Memphis Grizzlies players, coaches, executives and employee volunteers will participate in a Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis build day to help build four houses in the Bearwater Park neighborhood starting at 7:30 a.m.The full team will be at the build day from 10-11 a.m. This event is closed to the public, but media is invited to attend.
The Grizzlies volunteer team will paint, landscape, and install siding and hardware on four new homes alongside future Memphis Habitat homeowners. The Oct. 7 build day will help complete homes that were under construction during Habitat for Humanity’s 2016 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project, which was held in Memphis in August. Those homes will be completed by the end of October and will be sold to qualified homebuyers through Habitat’s affordable mortgage program.
