Marc > Pau: Grizz Win in Chicago

The Grizzlies are back in action with a 101-91 win over the Chicago Bulls last night. Things felt off at first, maybe partially due to Grizz in home gear and Chicago in green St. Patrick’s Day Jerseys. Marc lost the tip in the brother-vs-brother start to the game, but ended up showing his strength.

Marc had 23 points in 37 minutes last night. That is almost 3 full minutes more than Marc’s average of 33.9 minutes played. Marc held the team strong last night, with 19 points in the third quarter to give the Grizzlies a 73-65 lead. Jeff Green also contributed an impressive 19 points.

While Marc, Zach, & Tony all had solid nights respectively, Mike Conley struggled last night against the Bulls. The shots weren’t falling. With only 9 points, Mike went 0/5 from beyond the arc. Hopefully Mike’s shooting improves as we move into the end of the season. Vince Carter was on his second game returning, scoring 9 points. Last night showed what a full healthy Grizzlies team can do.

Another stressful first three quarters from the Grizzlies! At least the end of the Fourth Quarter prevented me from a full-on heart attack.

Up Next:
Grizzlies take on the Celtics this Wednesday in Boston, the team that normally is in St. Patrick’s Green. The Grizzlies are 1-1 on this four-game road trip. Wins in Boston and Washington are essential as the Grizz face tougher teams at the end of next week.
