Grizzlies Fall to Cleveland

In a game that made Zach Randolph “sick to his stomach,” the Grizz got crushed on home turf in front of a sellout crowd. The Cleveland Cavaliers traveled to Memphis after a 2-day rest period and beat the Grizzlies 111-89. The Cavs made 14 shots from beyond the arc in their fourth straight win.

Vince Carter was ejected during a timeout in the third quarter on a double-technical. The Grizzlies seemed tired and complacent into the second half. The Cavs were able to pass the ball straight through our defense and put up an indefinite number of offensive plays. Courtney Lee came back last night from his hand injury, but put up zero points. Lee did not even attempt a shot until the third quarter.

Notes:
– Beno Udrih scored 15 points off the bench
– Randolph was held to 5 points (2/8)
– Grizzlies were 43.5% in field goal percentage
– The Cavs had 18 turnovers
– Coach Joerger sat all the starters for the full 4th quarter
– Marc played the whole 3rd quarter and went only 2/2

Hopefully a different team shows up to the Grind House tomorrow night against Golden State. The Warriors are the current NBA powerhouse, and a win against Golden State could get the Grizzlies’ attitudes back on track.
