Zach Randolph said in his walk off interview after the game, “We’re here for business.” And business is what the Grizzlies took care of in Game 3 against the Blazers (115-109). Grizzlies took a decisive 3-0 lead against the Blazers in the series. Blazers are on the brink of elimination. Grizzlies are on the verge of franchise history, yet again.

Mike Conley went down with an injury late in the 3rd quarter and was taken to a medical facility. Before Mike left the game, he chipped in 14 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, and a steal after 26 minutes of play. Nick Calathes was called upon to take over the point guard duties to finish the game. Beno Udrih was inactive due to injury. Calathes stepped up big time. He played 26 minutes and chipped in 13 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and a block. Also he was 2/4 from the 3 point line. Nick had zero turnovers.

Courtney Lee had another huge game with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. Ten of his points came in the 1st quarter. He was 5/8 from the field and perfect from the free throw line by converting all 9 of his attempts.

Marc Gasol was the Grizzlies leading scorer with 25 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks. Marc was 13/14 from the free throw line.

Notable Game Stats

1. Grizzlies had 7 players who shot 100 percent from the free throw line. Grizzlies went 39/43 from the line.

2. Portland had 4 players to score over 20 points. Batum (27), McCollum (26), Lillard (22) and Aldridge (21).

3. Both teams shot over 40% from the three point line. Blazers had 11 three pointers and shot 40.7%. However, the Grizzlies made 4 three pointers while shooting 44.4%. Blazers took 27 threes while the Grizzlies only took 9.

4. The Grizzlies bench scored 32 points. Grizzlies bench had a balanced effort with scoring from 4 different players. On the other hand, McCollum amassed for 26 of the Blazers 30 bench points.

5. Both teams took care of the ball well with single digit turnovers. Grizzlies had 6 and Blazers had 8.

6. Grizzlies outscored Blazers in the paint 48-30.
