Grizzlies trounce Lakers on Beale Street

Sometimes the Grizzlies struggle to shoot the ball and sometimes they don’t. Sometimes they struggle to defend; yet sometimes they don’t. Game to game, we just don’t know which Grizzlies team will show up. It seems as if they are in an identity crisis.

However, the Grizzlies shined in their first wire to wire victory of the season as they trounced the LA Lakers 112-96 on Sunday evening. It was a fun and surprising game to watch.

Many Lakers fans showed up to the Grindhouse in support of Kobe Bryant. Every time Kobe made a shot, it was as if the Grizzlies were playing at the famous Staples Center; yet, the game was here in Memphis.

At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that the Grizzlies came away with the win and the streamers fell from the rafters.

Post game quotes from both the Grizzlies and Lakers can be found here.
