“He was good. He really was trying to will those guys to win. He was calling plays, which I love when he does that; that’s how I know he’s really into the game when he’s calling plays. He was really motivating in the huddles. I thought he was great tonight.”

4) Tony Allen had a really good night with 17 points, eight rebounds and four steals.

Stats of the Game

What They Said!!

Head Coach David Fizdale

How did you do without Conley (Mike) tonight:

“I thought our defense wasn’t at the level it should be. They still scored way too many points to my liking, but I liked the fact we came back and competed at a high level. The game before we came out competing so tonight at least we got back that edge. Its our first time losing on the second night of a back to back all year; we lost to a hell of a team. They aren’t going to make it easy on you, but I am happy with the way we competed.”

On confidence to team when it’s tight game/have had success before:

“Yea we believe in each other. Guys really believe that the next guy is going to make the right play. Tonight we had some turnovers down the stretch that we didn’t like. We didn’t get the stops necessary like we usually do. But we gave ourselves a chance to win on the road and that’s all you can ask for.”

Marc Gasol

What do Celts pose when facing them:

“They play with the big’s high so it changes the defensive positioning so you have to adjust to that. And defensively they are pretty disciplined. They know what they want to do, they don’t overreact to the things that they want to do so they have a pretty good system and disciplined so it’s a good team.”

What do Celts do down the stretch defensively to your team:

“Well on the pick and roll it was hard to get separation, get away and create that space that, at least for me, I had early on in the game. They would just wedge and go under on the pick and roll so I couldn’t really create that space to run to the three point line or roll or whatever we wanted to do. We just have to learn to be a little faster.”

Andrew Harrison

What makes Celts tougher defensively/tempo/fast pace of game:

“That’s what they do, that’s what they are known for so we can’t blame the back to back just shots didn’t fall, some shots at the end of the game didn’t fall, my shots didn’t fall. Its all on us.”
