Revenge is Sweet!

 

The taste of revenge is oh so sweet. The Grizz pummeled the Nuggets at the Grinhouse, 99-69. The game was the first Grizz game televized on TNT this season. The Grizzlies avenged their worse loss of the season by winning by the largest margin of the season. Yes, revenge is sweet. Marc Gasol celebrated his 30th birthday and his team won by 30!

Grizzlies had six players is double figures. Zach Randolph lead the way with 15 points and 17 rebounds. Zbo had his 11th straight double double and 17th straight game with double digit rebounds. By the way, Zach Randolph can ball!!

The birthday boy, Marc Gasol finished with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. Gasol vs Nurkic didn’t fair well for Nurkic. He went 0-7 with 6 rebounds. Gasol even had a big block on him.

Jeff Green added 13 points while Courtney Lee, Beno Udrih and Nick Calathes had 11 points a piece.

Injury update

Mike Conley missed his second consecutive game due to a wrist injury. Tony Allen returned tonight after missing the Dallas game on Tuesday with an ankle injury. Allen had 8 points, 9 rebounds and a steal.

Vince Carter left the game in the 2nd quarter due to an ankle injury. A MRI will be schedule to determine the extent of the injury.

Other Games Notes

1) Grizzlies shot 44.3% and held the Nuggets to 33.3%.

2) Both teams shot horribly from the 3 point line. Grizz were 3-18 and Nuggets were 2-26.

3) Grizzlies outreboubded Nuggets 57-47.

4) Grizzlies won the points in the paint battle by a slim margin 46-42.

5) Courtney Lee pulls a Tony Allen move and Tony loved it!!

Grizzlies will face OKC Thunder on Saturday which will be Wrestling Night in the Grindhouse. Tip-Off is set for 7pm. Doors will open at 5pm because of an exciting sought after giveaway.
