Recap: Grizzlies at Lakers / Preview: Grizzlies at Clippers
Last things first:
Final: Grizzlies- 102, Lakers- 116
Take this ridiculous L, blow it up poster-sized, and use it as an example of how never to play a basketball game again. Please and thank you.
This is what happens when you combine poor shooting and lackluster defensive effort from the Grizzlies, plus the Lakers scorching hot 3-point shooting from Nick Young and D’Angelo Russell (honorable mention: Jordan Clarkson) and a triple-double from sophomore Julius Randle.
There is no other way to explain this game other than to say the Lakers flat outplayed Memphis. I got nothing.
Things were already looking grim, then started to unravel completely after JaMychal Green exited the game midway through the 3rd quarter.
I cannot be the only one that had flashbacks of Conley and that Portland series when Green stayed down, clutching his face. I sincerely hope that this was nowhere near that serious.
According to Grizzlies PR, JaMychal Green will not play during tonight’s game against the Clippers, with his status being listed as day-to-day.
That’s right, the Grizzlies will be playing at Staples Center again tonight, let’s hope this time the team gets the memo. The squad might have been in the building last night, but playing…not so much.
Also listed as out for Memphis tonight is Chandler Parsons.
At least we still have Zach Randolph. Because it just isn’t a Clippers game without ZBo.
Who Got Next: Los Angeles Clippers
Where: Staples Center
When: Wednesday January 4 @ 9:30 PM
Get in your disco naps, Grizz Nation, it’s going to be another late night.
